Chunky knit, yes please

 A perfect chunky knit is a staple in my wardrobe for this time of the year. And with the LA weather starting to feel more like autumn and less like summer, I'm ready to get my knit wear on! I love the feel of pulling on my over sized sweater, bundling up on the couch with my favorite cup of tea and doing what I love to do most - watch whatever is currently on Bravo. But besides being so comfy and cozy that I never want to take them off. An over sized knit with a pair of skinny jeans, ankle boots, and a scarf is the perfect outfit for this autumn weather. It's still warm enough not to wear a coat, but its still cool enough to layer with a scarf and wear those ankle boots that you just purchased for this very reason  So with all that said, I love a chunky over sized knit sweater! 

Where have I been?

Where have I been you ask? Well I've been around, I've been tweeting on Twitter, acting like a professional photographer on Instagram, and pinning my little heart away until content on Pinterest. But if you follow me on all those social media sites then you are all well aware. But you ask, why haven't you been around on the blog? Well to be honest I have no real reason why I haven't been blogging. And to be real honest, I just haven't felt like it. 

Somewhere between the busyness of life, stress, and sitting on the couch watching trashy TV went the desire to blog. Now don't get me wrong here, I love blogging and I love my blog but lately there has been a lack of inspiration so to say. I think the constant trying to come up with new and original ideas for the blog became overwhelming and so time consuming that it felt more like a chore then something I genuinely enjoy doing. I started to feel like I was forcing myself to contently post new and perfect content. And because of that I... how do you put it,  "wore myself out." Yes, that's right - I, Mallory the blogger who blogs about fashion and pretty things - wore herself out. Now no one forced me to post every day, sometimes even twice in one day. But I did it and at the time enjoyed it to the fullest. And I hope that will happen again, I really do. But I'm not going to make any promises. I've missed blogging on my "simple" little blog that I love oh so much. 

Hopefully one of these up coming days when the inspiration is flowing, I can sit down at my desk and create a new post that will be amazeballs! And I will tweet, pin, and instagram that very moment it happens.

NYFW has come and gone, and like many of you (okay probably all of you) you have seen a majority, if not all of the street style pictures that fashion week had to offer. whether it was on a blog, website, or in the latest magazine, there has been non-stop NYFW talk. At first I wasn't going to post anything about Fashion Week because I new plenty of people already had it covered. But after seeing so many pictures of the all the gorgeous ladies dressed in their best - and of course falling in love with all of them. I had to post a few of my favorites. So here are a few favorites that I fell in love with the moment I saw them. Do you not agree that all these ladies look fab, or what! There are so many more pictures that are amazing and I can't help but envy how stylish all these ladies are - I flip through all the slideshows and think to myself "one day I will be stylish like these ladies, one day" haha. Don't tell me that it hasn't run through your mind before. Anyway, I love every single picture I have seen but decided to narrow it down to a few favorites to save you from a never ending post. Okay, I think I'm starting to ramble so enjoy!

Happy Weekend

This Weekend is the last official weekend of summer! Its going to be sad to say goodbye, but at the same time I'm ready for some coldness in my life. Especially right now, L.A is having yet another major heat wave and the humidity is out of its mind! The weather channel said its going to be 105 degrees in the valley this Saturday. Yes you heard right 105 flipping degrees. Good thing I have friends with pools, and they kindly let me over to escape the valley heat whenever I want. So floating on a raft during this mid September heat wave is where I will be. Am I sad to see summer go? Yes, but I think we have had a very lovely and very hot few months together and I think its time for a little break. So Fall, please hurry!

Oh, one more thing. The girl in the picture has the right idea for this weekend. I will be doing the exact same thing tomorrow as soon as I wake!

Currently Loving these Pinterest Pins

So I have made it very well known that I am addicted to Pinterest. I am on there several times a day pinning my little heart away until I am happily satisfied. But I don't think I'm alone on this Pinterest love affair. I have seen many Pinterest-ers with to many boards to count, of every single thing to think of. Which is great, because I get some major inspiration form all those boards and can spend far to long looking at every single one of them.
